What Do You See?

Lo BiZhu Zen monk was saying to his favorite students one day,

"What do you see before you?".

Notak Kpo answered, "A pile of wood."

Tnptan-elt said, "A house."

For some moments they all sat there contemplating the stack of wood perhaps thinking of something profound to say or thinking about nothing at all. A girl child passing by saw them rapt in their meditations. When she looked at the pile of wood she saw a silver coin which she picked up and looked from one to another. Both teacher and students were amazed. Neither had seen the coin. The young child put the coin in his pocket and silently walked away. After a while they heard her whistling and then she was gone.
